As you can tell from the tagline, the Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G is not for everyone. Its made for those users who wanted to buy the best Samsung branded smartphone.
The Galaxy A52s 5G does have its Pros and Cons which we will discuss in this review but before that let me share with you the India price of Galaxy A52s 5G.
India Price of Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G
The Samsung Galaxy A52s is priced at Rs 35,999 for 6GB of Ram and 128GB storage while 8GB Ram and 128GB storage is priced at Rs 37,499. The device is available in Violet, Black, and Black color option and it’s sold via Amazon.
Galaxy A52s 5G Review
No doubt Samsung Galaxy A52s is a good smartphone but it’s overpriced. At the 36k price tag, we have better phones than Galaxy A52s 5G, so it doesn’t make any sense to pay an extra 6k for Samsung Logo. In short, if you wanted to buy only Samsung branded phone then yes, Galaxy A52s 5G is worth buying.
Galaxy A52s 5G Pros and Cons
|11 5G Bands||Overpriced|
|120Hz Super AMOLED Display||Decent Cameras|
|Powerful Processor||Small Battery Size|
|3.5mm Audio Jack||Only 25W Charging Support|
|NFC Support||Plastic Back|
|Water and Dust Resistance|
Those were the Pros and Cons of Galaxy A52s 5G Now. let’s go deep down and see who should spend Rs 35,999 to buy Galaxy A52s 5G.
Galaxy A52s 5G Display Quality
There is no doubt Samsung makes the best display panels for smartphones and the same quality can be seen in Galaxy A52s 5G. Whether you want to play games or watch movies, there won’t be any problem.
The device also has Wide vine L1 support that means, you will be able to stream FHD+ content on OTT apps including Prime Video, Netflix, etc.
By the way, the Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G comes with a 6.50-inches 120Hz super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels.
The front display has a pick brightness of 800 nits which will insure, visibility under the sunlight.
Coming to build quality, the Galaxy A52s 5G has a plastic back while there is Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on the front side. The back plastic doesn’t feel cheap, it’s good quality plastic.
Considering the price tag, Samsung should have provided Glass back but hey, this is a Samsung smartphone, can’t expect everything.
Overall, there won’t be any kind of problem while using the phone. Samsung has provided a good quality panel.
Galaxy A52s 5G Cameras
The Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G comes with a 64MP primary sensor, 12MP ultra-wide lens, 5MP macro and 5MP depth rear camera while there is a 32MP selfie shooter.
This is Rs 36,999 smartphone and you may have expected the camera to be great but that’s not the case with Galaxy A52s 5G.
Now, we have phones like Motorola Edge 20 5G, OPPO Reno 6 5G (review), OnePlus Nord 2 and these phones are priced under 30k.
On another side, Galaxy A52s 5G is priced at 36k and has the same camera quality, also, in some areas, Moto Edge 20 5G Provides better image quality.
Coming to Galaxy A52s 5G, the rear and front camera can shoot videos up to 4k@30fps which is a plus point.
It also has a 5MP macro + 5MP depth sensor but these two sensors are just for marketing. So let’s assume that galaxy A52s 5G has dual rear cameras.
The 64MP primary sensor takes some good images under good lighting and like any other smartphone, the sensor tries to saturate the colours.
We have seen, lots brand who does the same thing but it depends on you, whether you like saturated images or natural colours.
By the way, the images are not 100% saturated but yes, some colours will pop out.
Talking about 12MP ultra-wide, when there is good lighting, the sensor provides good images with good details but when you take images at night, the sensor tries to overexpose the image and this is where it loses out on details.
Pro-tip, don’t use the ultra-wide lens at night, go for a 64MP sensor for better results.
For selfie lovers, Samsung has included a 32MP sensor that takes decent images. Still, I feel, considering the price tag, Samsung needs to work on the front camera.
Overall, the Galaxy A52s 5G has a decent camera and it doesn’t justify the Rs 35,999 price tag. The phone should have launched at 30k but hey, this is a Samsung phone and Samsung users, won’t complain much about the cameras.
Galaxy A52s 5G Performance
The chipset is powerful enough to play almost all the games which are available on the play store without any problem.
The Galaxy A52s 5G is running on OneUI 3.1-based on Android 111 and the phone will get the Android 12 update but when? only Samsung can tell.
By the way, the Galaxy A52s 5G support the BGMI game at HRD with an Ultra frame rate and smooth at an extreme frame rate.
For those who are wondering, Snapdragon 778G SoC is almost the same as Mediatek dimensity 1200 SoC.
Now, let’s talk about the 5G,
The Galaxy A52s 5G comes with 11 5G bands. It has 5G* FDD Sub6 = N1(2100), N3(1800), N5(850), N7(2600), N8(900), N20(800), N28(700), N66(AWS-3) while 5G* TDD Sub6 = N38(2600), N40(2300), N41(2500), N78(3500) 5G bands.
This means, whenever 5G launches in India, the Galaxy A52s 5G will ably take the advantage of the 5G network. You can call this, future proof smartphone.
All in all, there won’t be any kind of problem while playing games or using a smartphone. The Snapdragon 778G SoC will provide the best possible performance.
Galaxy A52s 5G Audio Quality
The Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G comes with Stereo Speakers which are quite loud and provides good quality audio. It also has a secondary noise cancellation microphone which will ensure good call quality.
I would like to say thanks to Samsung because they have kept the 3.5mm Audio jack.
Overall, the phone had good sound quality and there won’t be any kind of problem while taking calls.
Galaxy A52s 5G Battery Life
This is where I feel, Samsung should have gone with a 5,000 mAh battery or should have provided fast charging support. Now, let’s talk about, what Samsung has provided.
The Galaxy A52s 5G comes with a 4,500 mAh battery with 25W charging support. Most of the phones around 35k to 40k price tag has 50W or 65W fast charging support, I feel, Samsung has done cost-cutting here.
For example, if you play games for 3-hours, social media for a couple of hours, cameras for some time, and take calls then you will need to charge the Galaxy A52s 5G at around 5 to 6 PM.
By the way, the battery will last for a day or less, depending on daily use.
