A new smartphone under Galaxy M Series is here, the Galaxy M04 is an affordable smartphone that offers a MediaTek Helio P35 processor and 2 years of OS updates which is a rare combination at an Rs 8,499 price tag.

So let’s see whether you should spend Rs 8,499 on Galaxy M04 or look for a better smartphone under Rs 8000.

Is it Worth Buying Samsung Galaxy M04

Yes, the Galaxy M04 is worth buying because it has a decent MediaTek Helio P35 SoC, 2 years of OS, a 4GB+64GB storage option, even light Android Go support while the Rs 8,499 price makes sense for what Samsung is offering.

Now, keep in mind, MediaTek Helio P35 is not a powerful processor, it’s a decent processor which can handle day-to-day tasks like, calling, social media, or even watching videos on YouTube.

It’s not a gaming processor, so don’t buy Galaxy M04 for playing games.

The cameras are decent too, its Rs 8499, so don’t expect the camera quality to be Rs 15000 smartphone.

It will take decent images under good lights but when it comes to low lights, the images won’t be too good to post on social media.

The 5,000mAh battery will last for two days as the phone has a 6.50-inch display. It also supports 15W charging but Samsung has supplied the 10W charger in the box.

Do note, you won’t able to watch 1080p videos on YouTube because the phone only supports 720p resolution. Also, the phone doesn’t have a fingerprint sensor.

By the way, Samsung has promised two years of OS updates which means, the Galaxy M04 will get Android 13 and even Android 14 updates which are rare for an Rs 8499 smartphone.

I don’t usually recommend the budget Samsung smartphone but this time, Samsung has made a good smartphone. Now, yes, the pricing could have been a bit better but as this is Samsung, so you will have to pay a bit premium for the Samsung Logo.

Nonetheless, it’s a good option, if you want to gift the Galaxy M04 to your parent or someone who doesn’t want to use the Chinese smartphone.
