RealMe GT Master Edition Review
RealMe GT Master Edition is worth the Rs 25,999 price tag. The device feature powerful Snapdragon 778 SoC, smooth 120Hz refresh rate, massive 65W fast charging, good camera setup. In short, if your budget is about 25k and if you overall, good smartphone, definitely, RealMe GT Master Edition is worth looking at.
As you can tell, the RealMe GT ME has everything that you can think but when it comes to cameras, it doesn’t give you that 26k vibe. RealMe needs to work on camera optimization to justify the 26k price.
You can also take look at the newly launched Xiaomi 11i 5G which is priced at Rs 24,999.
So if you can live with an average camera and if you want a powerful processor, smooth display, fast charging, and even 5G support then you can consider the RealMe GT ME.

RealMe GT Master Edition Display Quality
The RealMe GT Master Edition comes with a 6.43-inches 120Hz AMOLED display and 1000 nits of display brightness. RealMe haven’t clarified which glass protection they have used, so can’t comment on that, I will let you as soon as I know.
The display looks great on paper and the same can be said in real life too. As the phone has a pick brightness of 1000 nits, there won’t be any kind of problem while using the phone under the sunlight.
Now, keep in mind, this is not the best display under Rs 30,000 in India because we also have Motorola Edge 20 and this phone has a 144Hz 10bit HDR10+ OLED display and is priced at Rs 29,999.
Also, considering the price tag, the RealMe GT Master Edition does have good display quality but if you can spend little but extra then I would suggest you go for Moto Edge 20.
By the way, the smartphone frame is made out of plastic while there is a couple of option available for rear design.
One of the variants is designed by Naoto Fukasawa. Also, the RealMe GT Master Edition does look premium in hand.
Overall, the phone has a good quality display panel and you won’t face any kind of problem while playing games or watching movies as the phone has support for Widevine L1, this means, you will be able to watch FHD+ content on OTT platforms.
RealMe GT Master Edition Cameras
The RealMe GT Master Edition comes with a 64MP primary sensor, 8MP ultra-wide lens, and 2MP depth sensor while there is a 32MP selfie shooter. The rear cameras can shoot videos up to [email protected] while the front can record up to [email protected]
While the device doesn’t have support for OIS.
Under the price of Rs 30000, we have phones like OnePlus Nord 2, POCO F3 GT, Motorola Edge 2 and OPPO Reno 6.
From here, the RealMe GT Master Edition doesn’t have as good a camera as the OnePlus Nord 2 or even the newly launched Moto Edge 20.
By the way, RealMe also offer RealMe X7 Max 5G at 25k and during Selling days, it can be bought at 23k too. In short, if you can get RealMe X7 Max (read review) at a lower price then go for it, you won’t be disappointed.
Coming to the RealMe GT Master Edition, the 64MP primary sensor does capture good quality images. RealMe has also included lots of filters that you can try from the Stock Camera app.
Also, the night mode works fine too but keep in mind, at night, always use the primary sensor.
By the way, I don’t know whether it’s a bug or not but something, images turned out oversaturated and sometimes out white. If this is a bug then RealMe needs to fix this right now.
Talking about 8MP ultra-wide lens, here I feel, RealMe needs to work a little bit because when you take images at around 2 PM or 3 PM, the background of the human subject, doesn’t look great.
In technical, words, the dynamic range is not great on an ultra-wide sensor.
Now, let’s just forget that it has a 2MP depth sensor. Talking about Video, the rear camera can shoot video up to [email protected] but don’t use it because it doesn’t have OIS, so always use [email protected]/30fps for better result.
Coming to a 32MP selfie shooter, the sensor does what it suppose to do. It provides good quality images but it doesn’t provide natural images and that’s okay because most people love white images.
This is the reason, why mobile brands provide bigger sensors on the front side.
Overall, if your budget is about 30k and if you want the best cameras then you can skip the RealMe GT Master Edition and go for Moto Edge 20 (read review) or OnePlus Nord 2 (read review)
By the way, RealMe GT Master Edition doesn’t have a bad camera but the thing is, now, we have tons of options under 30k.
RealMe GT Master Edition Performance
The RealMe GT Master Edition is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 778 SoC and it’s running on RealMe 2.0 based on Android 11 and the phone will get Android 12 as soon as OPPO launches Color OS 12.
We have recently seen Snapdragon 778 SoC on Moto Edge 20. The performance was great and the same can be said for RealMe GT Master Edition too.
The RealMe UI 2.0 is well optimized and also 120Hz refresh rate works fine, I didn’t face any lag or frame drop while using the smartphone.
The Snapdragon 778 SoC is a powerful processor and RealMe has taken full advantage of the SoC too. So whether you want to play games or just use a smartphone, there won’t be any kind of problem.
By the way, this is a true 5G smartphone because it has 8 5G bands which include n1, n3 n5, n8 n28a, n77 n41, n78. So whenever 5G launches in India, this phone will be compatible with it.
Overall, there won’t be any kind of problem in performance.
RealMe GT Master Edition Battery Life
The RealMe GT Master Edition comes with a 4,300 mAh battery with 65W fast charging support. The phone will take about 33 minutes to charge from 0% to 100% with a 65W charger.
The battery life depends on users by the user but for casual users, the phone will easily last for a day but if you heavy user then is ready to change the phone twice a day.
Again, the phone has massive 65W charging support, so there won’t be any problem even if you run out of battery.
RealMe GT Master Edition Audio Quality
The RealMe GT Master Edition doesn’t have stereo speakers but it does have a secondary noise cancellation microphone which will ensure good call quality.
The Single speaker is not that bad, you will be able to hear the sound even if you’re public place, the audio will be listenable.
Here comes the good news, the RealMe GT Master Edition does have a 3.5mm Audio jack. So you will be able to use wired earphones or if you like, use TWS earbuds too.
If not RealMe GT Master Edition? Alternatives
Back then we didn’t have many options under Rs 30,000 price tag but now, we have tons of options to choose from.
If you don’t want to buy RealMe GT Master Edition, just go for Moto Edge 20 or OnePlus Nord 2 but if you want a gaming smartphone then you can also take look at the POCO F3 GT (read review).
As I have said if you can get RealMe X7 Max 5G at 23k or lower then just buy that phone because there is no huge difference between RealMe GT Master Edition And RealMe X7 Max.
The Mediatek dimensity 1200 SoC and Snapdragon 778 is also almost the same, so both phones will provide almost the same performance.

If you ask, I don’t recommend this smartphone because the phone doesn’t have good cameras.
In short, if you buy RealMe GT Master Edition then you won’t be disappointed but if you have the budget then consider buying Motorola Edge 20 or even OnePlus Nord 2 5G.
Advantage of RealMe GT Master Edition
The biggest highlight of RealMe GT Master Edition is 5G bands because it includes eight 5G Bands. It also has a powerful processor, solid battery life with 65W fast charging, 120Hz smooth display quality, 3.5mm audio jack and it’s priced at Rs 26,999.
Disadvantages of RealMe GT Master Edition
The RealMe GT Master Edition is made out of plastic, it has a plastic frame and back while there is no SD-card slot. No mention of display protection, ads in the UI, no Stereo Speakers, and it has average cameras.
