RealMe GT 2 5G Review
Yes, RealMe GT 2 Pro 5G is worth buying because it offers Real value at a Real Price, there is a powerful Snapdragon 888 processor, superfast 65W fast charging support along with LPDDR5 RAM & UFS 3.1 Storage, 50MP SONY IMX766 primary sensor with OIS, smooth 120Hz screen refresh rate and its available at Rs 34999 which is a good price for what RealMe is offering.
By the way, this is a 5G smartphone but RealMe has only added 3 5G bands which is kind of disappointing.
The battery will last for a day and even if you kill the battery in a day, you can always use a superfast 65W charger which will take only 33 minutes to charge from 0% to 100%.

There is also a powerful Snapdragon 888 processor, so no issue with the performance, it will give you a smooth experience whether you want to play games or use social media.
Overall, for the price of Rs 34999. RealMe GT 2 5G is a worth and value money device but again, if you can add extra Rs 5000 to your budget then you can also consider the Xiaomi 11T Pro 5G (review) if you don’t want to then the RealMe GT 2 5G is also not a bad option to consider.

Display Quality
The RealMe GT 2 5G comes with a 6.62-inches 120Hz AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels with a pick brightness of 1300 nits and a 1000Hz touch sampling rate. The build quality is also solid while there is Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on the front for display protection.
RealMe has also added Widevine L1 support which means, you will be able to stream FHD+ content on OTT platforms.
The screen brightness is also good, there won’t be any kind of issue while using the smartphone in outdoors.

Overall, the display is well-balanced, it will give you the best experience whether you’re games or watching movies. There is also an in-display fingerprint sensor which is great just like any other RealMe smartphone.
Performance
We all know, Snapdragon 888 is not a well-optimized processor, it heats a lot while playing or even while using a smartphone but looks like, RealMe has worked on that, the RealMe GT 2 5G doesn’t heat as much as IQOO 9 5G or any other smartphone that has Snapdragon 888 Processor.
The phone comes with RealMe 3.0 based on Android 12 but RealMe hasn’t said, how many OS updates this phone will get.
Also, RealMe has only added 3 5G bands which is a bummer because 5G is about to launch this year in India, and not having more 5G bands is not a good feeling because we don’t know which 5G bands will support 5G.
This is a flagship smartphone and even after that, RealMe has added tons of third-party apps which can be uninstalled but still, this is not the best user experience.

By the way, the device has a 1000Hz touch sampling rate which great to have feature for gaming and that 120hz screen fresh rate makes everything perfect.
Overall, for the price of Rs 34999, Snapdragon 888 is a worthy processor and you will be more than happy with its performance.
Cameras
The RealMe GT 2 5G comes with a 50MP SONY IMX766 primary sensor which also has OIS + 8MP ultra-wide lens and a 2MP macro sensor while there is a 16MP selfie shooter on the front.
The Rear cameras can shoot videos at [email protected] and [email protected] while the front can shoot at only [email protected] By the way, only the 50MP primary sensor has OIS support, so don’t expect smooth videos from any other sensors.
As the phone has OIS support, the video does come out smooth and RealMe has worked on the OIS, it’s not gimmicky, it works properly. So if you shoot a lot of videos with rear cameras while walking then this could be a good smartphone to consider.
Now, the same can’t be said for the ultra-wide or front cameras, the videos do come out good but they’re not as good as the primary sensor.
Also, for some reason, the front-facing camera has some kind of dynamic range issue, it’s a hit or miss kind of situation, sometime, it takes good videos, and sometimes, it doesn’t feel like a 35k front camera.
RealMe has also added a dedicated night mode which works great on the primary sensor but not the best on the ultra-wide lens, the sensor tries to oversaturate the image and in between it loses out on details, so here I would recommend you to not use the ultra-wide lens unless the lighting condition is good.
RealMe’s recently launched mobile phones producing good colors, they’re not trying to boost the colors, they’re trying to keep them as natural as they can and that’s the same case with RealMe GT 2 5G too.

There are no complaints about the 50MP SONY IMX766 primary sensor, it takes some of the best images and again no issue with dynamic range and the details are also coming out well.
Here, I don’t get why RealMe needed to add a 2MP macro sensor, they would have added a telephoto lens or a bigger ultra-wide lens but hey, that’s another way to market the smartphone, so take it as it is.
The 16MP front camera is also good, you will be more than happy with the quality but in the video, RealMe needs a little bit of work.
Overall, for the price of Rs 34999, there is nothing much to complain about the cameras, you will be more than happy with the videos. Also, I have already told you some good things and bad things too, so take it as it is and decide whether it’s worth it for you or not?
Audio Quality
The RealMe GT 2 5G has a stereo speaker which works fine, no issues there. Its dual speakers, so can’t complain much.
It also has a secondary noise cancellation microphone. There is also carrier aggregation support which will help a lot in calling.
As this is a flagship smartphone, there is no 3.5mm audio jack. You can use the TWS earbuds or buy Type-C to 3.5mm dongle for wired earphones.
Overall, the audio quality is great, no complaints about the calling too…
Battery Life
The RealMe GT 2 5G comes with a 5,000mAh battery with 65W fast charging support. The 65W charger will take about 33 minutes to charge from 0 to 100%.
The phone doesn’t have wireless charging support but RealMe has added a 65W charger in the box.
Overall, the battery should last for the day because of the processor but in the end, it depends on you, and how you use your smartphone every day.
Now, if you’re a heavy user then you will need to charge this smartphone two times a day.
You can also use the 65W charger, so even if the battery doesn’t last for a day then the charger will help a lot.
