Reasons to Buy OnePlus 11R 5G
There are lots of reasons to buy OnePlus 11R 5G which are, the device runs on ColorOS but doesn’t have ads, the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 will insure everything works fine, has proper 5G Bands, Rock Solid Stereo Speakers, the best option for heavy gaming, stable battery life and most impotent is, it’s available at a good price.
Software
No one can deny that OnePlus 11R 5G runs on ColorOS, but it does have some features from OxygenOS but mainly, the core layout is from colorOS but like ColorOS, OnePlus 11R 5G doesn’t have a single ad in the UI.

The rest of the experience is smooth but still, OnePlus needs to fix some of the bugs like the notifications doesn’t expand when you tap.
Still, these are minor bugs that can be fixed with updates.
Earlier, OnePlus did promise 4 years of OS updates but later they announced on Twitter that, the OnePlus 11R 5G will only get 3 years of OS updates and 4 years of Security updates.
Performance
The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 is powerful enough to handle almost everything whether you want to play games or use social media apps, everything will work like butter.
In short, if you wanted a gaming smartphone under Rs 40,000 then you can consider the OnePlus 11R 5G over any other smartphone as the phone has a clean UI along with a better processor compared to its competition.

Also, the phone has LPDDR5x Ram and UFS 3.1 Storage, so everything will work fine.
5G Connectivity
5G is a feature now, so if you’re wondering whether OnePlus 11R 5G has enough bands or not then don’t worry, the phone has 9 5G Bands including n1, n3, n5, n8, n28A, n40, n41, n77, and n78.
So if the 5G is available in your city then you will be able to take advantage of it.
Speakers
Just like any other smartphone, the phone also has a stereo speaker which works fine, so there is nothing to worry about.
The only problem is, the phone doesn’t have a 3.5mm audio port, so if you wanted to use wired earphones then you will have to use a 3.5mm to Type-C dongle.
Battery Life
The OnePlus 11R 5G has a 5,000mAh battery with a whopping 100W wired fast charging that will take approx 27 minutes to charge from 0% to 100%.

The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 is well made SoC because of that, the battery will last longer. So if you’re a normal user then the phone will easily last for 2 days but heavy users who will play games, use social media and watch movies then they will have to charge the device twice a day.
There is a 100W charger available, so charging a device every day won’t be an issue at all.
Reasons to Skip OnePlus 11R 5G
There are only two reasons to skip the OnePlus 11R 5G which are the phone has a plastic back that doesn’t feel and look good at all at a 40k price whereas the rear cameras need a bit of improvement in daylight as well as night photography.
The Build
When the phone is priced at 40k, a brand needs to provide a premium build but in the case of the OnePlus 11R 5G, there is the plastic back which is not acceptable at all.
Now, I get it, most of the users in India will use the case but still, there will be users like me who love to use a phone without the case.
It’s debatable, so I will leave it up to you whether you’re okay with plastic build or not.
Cameras
Cameras have been always a weak part of OnePlus from the start, so there is nothing new to talk about.
I have already talked a lot about the OnePlus 11R 5G’s cameras in the in-depth review but still, let’s cover this in short,
The front camera is kind of okay and I feel most of the Indian users will love it as the images come out whiter and more saturated, again, the front camera is nowhere near to Nothing Phone 1 or even Pixel 6A.
Overall, OnePlus can improve the front and even rear cameras with OTA updates, it’s just that, they need to work on it. Still, I feel, the phone has useable cameras under good light and even under low light but it does suffer a lot under extremely low light conditions.

Verdict
OnePlus 11R 5G is easy to recommend, so if your budget is Rs 40,000 and you don’t want to spend more than that then you can consider buying OnePlus 11R 5G but keep in mind, the phone doesn’t have great cameras which is okay as you’re getting other features.
