Motorola Tab G62 Review
Yes, the Motorola Tab G62 4G is worth buying if you’re looking for a tablet for entertainment. However, it’s not made for gaming or heavy usage, it’s a decent tablet for a decent price.
The Snapdragon 680 is a capable processor and it can handle basic gaming but after playing games for 10 minutes, you will notice frame drops here and there. So don’t buy the Moto Tab G62 4G for gaming.
The tab also has Widevine L1 support along with 4 speakers and Dolby Atmos support. This will ensure that you will get the most optimal experience while watching YouTube videos or even watching movies on Netflix.
Motorola Tab G62 4G is a terrific value for Rs 15,999 and you won’t be disappointed with its performance. However, if you want a 5G tablet with a bit better performance, you should check out RealMe Tab X. This tablet is powered by Snapdragon 695 SoC while it’s available at Rs 19,999.

Display
The Motorola Tab G62 4G comes with a 10.60-inches display with a resolution of 2000 x 1200 Pixels and 220 PPI density. It has glass on the front, while the frame and back are made of Aluminum.
The screen brightness is also good, there won’t be any kind of issue while using the tab outdoors but sometimes, it gets hard to read the text.
Motorola has also added Widevine L1 support, so you will be able to watch FHD+ content on OTT apps like Netflix and even Prime Video.
The tab doesn’t have a fingerprint sensor, it relies on face unlock and pin which works fine all the time.
The 10.60-inches screen is good too, it’s not too vibrant or saturated, and it’s a well-balanced LCD panel.
All in All, you can’t complain much about the panel as this is a 16k Android tablet, Motorola has used a good display and you won’t feel disappointed with its quality.
Performance
We have seen RealMe Pad X with Snapdragon 695 and I was hoping the same with Motorola Tab G62 4G but Motorola went with Snapdragon 680 which is not the perfect choice at the same time, not that bad.
The Snapdragon 680 is a decent processor for decent workflow, don’t expect to play games like COD Mobile, or even Apex Legend at higher graphics.
Even if you play these games, after 10 minutes of gameplay, you will notice a frame drop which is not a good gaming experience.
So if you can don’t play games on this tablet, if you want a smooth Android experience.
For day-to-day usage, Motorola needs to fix some problems like, while scrolling through apps or social media, the screen freezes for a microsecond, it’s noticeable too and it can be fixed with an OTA update.
The OS is very lightweight, so it’s a problem that can be fixed with a single update, so let’s wait and see, when Motorola provides an update for the same.
By the way, Snapdragon 680 doesn’t support 5G connectivity, so you have to live with 4G. The tab is available in LTE and Wifi versions, you can choose one as per your requirement.
Cameras
The Motorola Tab G62 4G comes with 8MP rear and 8MP front cameras, both the cameras can shoot videos at [email protected] There is no OIS support, it relies on EIS.
I have said many times that never expect anything from budget tablet cameras, whatever you get, be happy with it and the same can be said for the Motorola Tab G62 4G.
If you’re a student then you will be more than happy with the image quality, to scene document to take images.
You won’t get the same quality as a smartphone but consider the other option under Rs 15000, Motorola Tab G62 4G performs better in the cameras department.
In short, be happy with the camera or consider RealMe Pad X for a bit better camera.

Audio
One of the important parts of tablets is speakers and Motorola has put all of their money here.
The Motorola Tab G62 4G has four speakers which support Dolby Atmos and it does work well too. It also has a 3.5mm audio jack which is always good to see on tablets.
The quality of each speaker is excellent, they’re loud and even clean too, so whether you want to play games or even watch movies, you won’t need the earphones.
Battery Life
It has a 7,700mAh battery with 20W charging support and yes, the charger is included with the box.
The battery will last for a day, the Snapdragon 680 SoC is power-efficient SoC and it will give better battery life.
Now, if you’re a heavy user then be ready to charge the tablet twice a day but for a normal user, the battery can last for more than a day too.
Verdict
If your budget is Rs 15000 then I would highly recommend you to add a thousand more and go with Motorola Tab G62 5G but if you can, do consider the RealMe Pad X which is available at 20k and you will get a better processor.
Still, confused, do let me know in the comment, I would love to help you out…
